Doing a meditation practice on your own in nature seems to be the typical thread throughout nearly every major religion around the globe.
For instance, Jesus spent forty days and forty nights alone within the wilderness. In the end he spoke with angels. Buddha sat alone for forty-nine days beneath the Bhodi tree and became enlightened. Further, Moses went to the peak of the mountain for forty days and 40 nights and spoke with God.
By nature I am not personally much into religions as I believe we all have our authentic nature within, however after spending much time on my own in the wilderness I understand there’s another way of being that feels like the ‘enlightenment’ religions speak of.
For example after around two days by yourself iommersed in nature without the distractions of modern society it appears that time tends to naturally slow down to the natural pace of the environment. This is the first stage of reaching a state of enlightenment.
